SCCC/ATS Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarships through the Seward County Community College Development Foundation are usually divided between two semesters. All awards and scholarships are renewable. Scholarships require that students attend class and maintain a minimum grade point average. Specific details are available from the Student Financial Aid Office. The priority deadline for all scholarships is November 1st for the spring semester and April 1st for the fall semester.

General Academic Scholarships
$1,000 Academic Excellence Scholarship
Student must have a 3.5 GPA or higher.
$800 General Academic Scholarship
Student must have between a 3.00 and 3.49 GPA.
$600 General Academic Scholarship
Student must have between a 2.50 and 2.99 GPA.
$400 Academic Incentive Award
Student must have between a 2.00 and 2.49 GPA.
$1,000 Out-of-State Academic Distinction Scholarship
These are available for out-of-state, non-border county students who have a 3.5 or highergrade point average.

Seward County Tuition Grant
In order to receive the Seward County Tuition Grant, students must be a Seward County resident and graduate with a 2.0 GPA. This qualifies them for the grant which waves the tuition and students are only responsible for paying the fees. Students receiving this grant must fill out the scholarship application, be in at least one campus club or organization and maintain a 2.5 GPA while at SCCC/ATS. The tuition grant is limited to 18 credit hours per semester.

Book Scholarships
Students, following sponsor recommendation, may be eligible for a performance book scholarship, a tuition and book scholarship, or a $1000 and book scholarship, based on their participation in one of the following areas:

Agriculture
Art
Athletics
Cheerleading
Criminal Justice
Drama/Theater
Journalism
Instrumental Music
Peer Tutoring
Saints-n-Action
Saintsations (Dance)
Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE)
Sports Medicine
Student Manager
Vocal Music

Automotive Business Management
5-$750 Scholarships will be given to qualifying students in the Automotive Business Management program. For more information please contact Jim Brown at 620-417-1672.

Other Permanently Endowed Scholarships
Available depending on major, activities, GPA and other criteria.
